Things People Say Fridays #3 On Saturday - The Law

The reason this post is showing up late Saturday night is that I've been trying, without success, to make the youtube vid show up like it does on my desktop. It won't. After a dozen infuriating tries, including some right from scratch, it still goes wrong in the bits about me and London cops. I know things flash too fast and you don't have enough time to read some captions. I've been screwing around with it for two days. I'm done. F(%k It. Now to the originally scheduled post:

I recently posted some pics of myself that included my geeky helmet cam. Cafiend, one of my oldest returning visitors, said "The helmet cam front view looks like a bike cop. If you want a less conspicuous camera, get a Contour. They're more tubular".

Turns out Cafiend, as often happens, was right on the money:

that was really interesting. bikeway design in my city is still of the 70s 90 degree angle variety. Nice to have some footage of better stuff, ta

Last week I actually got a 'God bless you' from a pedestrian. I think she was yelling at the squirrels before she saw me, so I question her level of sobriety, but it was nice.

Did you cut those pedestrians a smidge close? If so, perhaps THAT explains them mistaking you for a member of the local police, or perhaps I merely am grumpy from too much indulgence in the annual US Income Tax preparation ritual. Back to work after a quick suck up to note I really enjoy your blog!

This is just a heads-up message. Your facebook account has been hacked. Someone sent me a link to a mouse trapped spam page.

I second Ed W's alert about the Facebook hack. I did a little right-click sniffing around rather than follow the link. It looked too sketchy.

I second Steve A's appreciation of your blog, too.

Nice bike paths...

Head-cams would be cool, but I don't know if I'd like looking a cop... then again...

Dee - thanks for visiting! Yeah, I can't complain oabout the paths here too much.

Jason - Drunk or sober, take anything you can get, for sure.

Steve - My cam makes all passes look a little closer than they are. Also stop doing that really enjoy your blog thing.

Ed and Cafiend - Thanks for the FYI... despite best efforts, I guess. I've turned on that thing that calls your cell phone with a code and changed passwords for all my accounts now. Please notify if it happens again.

Don't forget to get one of those little toy bike sirens with the red & blue lights! Lay down the law!

Hey anon, I'm freakish enough already. Thanks for the thought, though.
